Wei Xu boasts expertise in asset securitization as well as real estate and infrastructure REITs and has been focusing on these domains for more than 14 years. In the field of traditional asset securitization, she has led some pioneering projects in the Chinese market, notably ABS projects with mortgages and/or pledges, NPL, NPL for micro and small enterprises as underlying assets, marking the first instances where such assets were used as underlying assets in ABS transactions. For ABN and real estate, she is one of the earliest legal experts participating in the design of ABN and pilot REITs in China. She has led her team to provide legal services in more than 30 innovative projects such as quasi-REITs, CMBS of which the underlying assets include commercial real estates, rental apartments, highways, energy infrastructures, etc. Her work also includes listing of REITs such as Zhongguancun Industrial Park Infrastructure REIT and Huaxia Yuexiu Highway Infrastructure REIT.
