He has advised relevant financial institutions in the framework of the restructuring of the Spanish financial sector and some of the leading hotel chains in Europe and the US. He regularly advices PEQ funds. Until July 2006, he was managing partner of the Cuatrecasas New York office, where he participated in numerous cross-border transactions and gained in-depth knowledge of the most important aspects of the common law legal system.
He is co-head of the International Corporate Transactions Group of the World Law Group and secretary of the boards of directors of several national and international companies. He has lectured at prestigious business schools, at the Universidad Internacional de Catalunya, the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, the Barcelona Bar Association, and several universities in the US.
He is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association, as well as of the Fòrum Social i Empresarial del Consell Social (Universitat Pompeu Fabra) and a Foreign Legal Consultant in the State of New York.
Mr. Xercavins lectures regularly at forums (APD, Mergermarket) and publishes articles of opinion in the Spanish press.
