Valentina Pomares

Valentina is Executive partner and Co-Head of the firm's Employment and Pension department.

From 2021 she is member of the Steering Committee of the Firm. She has extensive experience in the labour/employment law and social security fields, representing Italian and international clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters.

Valentina provides day-to-day advice to businesses on a wide range of employment-related issues, advising on the procedures for hiring staff, individual or collective dismissals, exercising disciplinary powers, transfer of business, and the transfer/secondment of employees, non-competition covenants, bonus schemes, other documents for regulating employment relationships, and disciplinary procedural codes. Secondments, expatriate workers, agency agreements, consultancy and/or service agreements are further areas within her specialist practice.

Valentina graduated "magna cum laude" from the University of Milan in 1993 and was admitted to the Italian Bar in 1996.

Valentina is a regular presenter and contributor at seminars and workshops and she has been also a Lecturer in Civil Law at the Bocconi University in Milan. Moreover, she frequently writes several articles for major institutional newspapers such as “Il Sole 24 ore”.

She is a member of the European Employment Law Association (EELA) and the Italian Employment Lawyers Association AGI. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in the employment and labour department of leading Italian and international law firms.
