Thomas advises on all aspects of labour and employment law with a special focus on cross-border reorganisations, employee representation at board level and regulated remuneration schemes. He has broad experience in handling compliance matters, in particular in an international context.
Joined Freshfields in 1998, partner since 2003.
Thomas is a member of the Labour Law Committee of the German Lawyers’ Association DAV, of the German American Lawyers’ Association and of the European Employment Law Association.
Thomas is author of numerous legal commentaries and articles and a regular lecturer on legal topics.
Thomas studied law at the Cologne University, Germany and in Lausanne, Switzerland. He holds a Dr degree from Cologne University and a LL.M. degree from new York University. Thomas speaks German, English and French.
