Tom has a diverse practice representing companies in the energy industry in New York and nationwide. He has assisted clients with regulatory matters before the New York State Public Service Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. He regularly assists with all matters related to development of renewable energy projects, including power purchase agreements, solar leases, and project legal and regulatory issues (such as Public Service Commission regulations, utility tariffs and Energy Law Article 9), as well as local approvals and SEQRA reviews. He has assisted extensively with regulatory and litigation efforts supporting energy-intensive industries such as cryptocurrency/blockchain and data centers. Tom and members of the Energy and Renewables Industry Team have successfully defended Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) with compliance investigations by the New York Public Service Commission and New York State Attorney General.
Tom is a Partner and a member of the firm's Energy and Renewables Industry Team.
