Tom advises on corporate income tax matters, with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, international tax planning and cross-border transactions. He also represents clients in disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency, both at the audit and appeals levels, and appears as counsel before the Tax Court of Canada and Federal Court.
Admitted to British Columbia Bar, 1993 and Ontario Bar, 2004.
Tom is a member of the Joint Committee on Taxation of the Canadian Bar Association and the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, and a member of the editorial board of the Canadian Tax Journal. He is also a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and International Fiscal Association, and a frequent speaker on tax matters at conferences and seminars across Canada.
