Takeshi Mukawa provides comprehensive legal support to companies operating in Myanmar and those wishing to invest in Myanmar. He focuses his practice on investments and mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate, infrastructure, energy, capital market, and project finance. He has advised clients on a number of major deals in Myanmar, including the Japan Exchange Group, Inc. and Daiwa Institute of Research Ltd. on their joint venture with the Myanmar Economic Bank to establish the Yangon Stock Exchange and Kirin Holdings Singapore Pte Ltd. on its acquisition of a majority stake in Myanmar Brewery Limited and a joint venture with Myanma Economic Holdings Limited. In addition to that, he has participated in the development of the legal framework of Myanmar by assisting in drafting Myanmar laws, including the Securities and Exchange Law and Special Economic Zone Law.
