Practice focuses mainly on capital markets and M&A transactions. Regularly advises issuers/underwriters on global securities offerings by Japanese issuers. Transactions include: global equity offerings by Mercari, Renesas, Macromill, Idemitsu, JR Kyushu, Recruit, Rakuten, SUMCO, Skylark, Seibu Holdings, Hulic, Dexerials, Elpida, Mitsui Fudosan, Daiwa House, ANA and Mizuho Financial Group; senior and subordinated debt offerings by various Japanese issuers; and Mizuho Financial Group's NYSE listing. Also advises various M&A clients, including ANA’s acquisition of PanAm Holdings.
