Svilen has advised some of the largest international and Bulgarian banks and financial institutions on various transactional, regulatory and compliance matters and has led the Bulgarian work on a number of complex (cross-border) financing and capital market transactions.

His experience in finance and investment issues includes: acquisition, project, real estate and aircraft financing; investment structuring; debt restructuring; establishment and enforcement of security; insolvency proceedings; capital markets; banks and financial institutions licensing; NPL transactions and structuring.

Svilen also specialises in life sciences and healthcare, advising pharmaceutical companies on a wide range of regulatory and compliance matters relating to their operations in Bulgaria. He has been a member of ethics committees on clinical trials and of committees responsible for health technology assessments of medicinal products.
