Career

Sung Woon Kang is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC, and his main practice areas include IPO and substantive review of eligibility for listing, financial and capital markets, M&A deals of financial companies, digital finance, and foreign investment.

Mr. Kang has a wealth of experience in general laws applicable to financial institutions, issuance of securities by a Korean company through public or private offerings in Korea and abroad, loans of financial Mr. Kang is one of the leading experts in Korea as to advising numerous companies, both home and abroad, related to listing on the Korea Exchange (KRX) and overseas securities markets, such as NASDAQ (US). Among the companies that Mr. Kang advised is Captivision Inc., which is listed company on NASDAQ through merger with 3NOD Digital Group (the first-ever company to be listed on KRX) and SPAC.

He also has extensive experience advising on M&A deals of financial companies, foreign investment, and cross-border investment and M&A deals of Korean companies, and his expertise particularly lies in forex transaction regulations. In addition, he has been providing legal advice for 10 years related to digital finance for global top-tier companies, and advises a number of domestic financial institutions on responding to inspections and sanctions by the FSS, and represents them in civil, criminal, and administrative suits.
