Known for her exceptional client service abilities and aptitude for negotiating successful outcomes for her clients, Summer routinely assists clients on a variety of employment law matters, including advising on sensitive executive and founder disputes, high-profile executive employment offers, and financing transactions; negotiating settlements in respect of contentious employee terminations; and providing day-to-day HR risk mitigation advice and strategies.

Summer has appeared before, and obtained favourable judgments from, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List), and she has also represented multiple clients in collective bargaining as lead negotiator against the largest private sector union in Canada.
