Stephen McGuinness

Stephen specialises in the defence of medical and dental negligence claims taken against hospitals as well as individual medical and dental practitioners. He has an extensive caseload touching on all aspects of medical and dental law with a significant focus on high value catastrophic injury claims. Stephen also maintains a large caseload involving medical product liability litigation dealing with claims, which are novel, complex and repercussive. He has experience representing his clients in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. Prior to joining Hayes, he worked in a leading medical negligence defence litigation firm in London. Given his extensive experience, he lectures and gives talks widely on all issues of healthcare law.
