Sofía O'Ryan, founding partner at Salgado & O'Ryan, focuses her practice on competition and consumer law, including merger control, unilateral conduct, and cartel investigations before the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office (FNE), and proceedings before the Competition Tribunal (TDLC) and the National Consumer Service (SERNAC). She also maintains a strong focus on competition and consumer compliance.
She advises clients in the technology, industrial, and life sciences industries, with a consolidated practice distinguished by her strategic experience as a former regulator.
Before founding Salgado & O’Ryan, she developed her career at the FNE for over seven years, where she was appointed as Coordinator of the Mergers and Unilateral Abuse Divisions, playing a key role in defining the agency's enforcement criteria. She also led the antitrust practice at DLA Piper Chile.
