José Ignacio Marín

José Ignacio concentrates his practice on the firm's Corporate and Venture Capital area. He advises companies and investors on forming and operating private investment funds, including those backed by The Production Development Corporation (CORFO).

In the Venture Capital area, he advises companies in several financing rounds and stages of business development, including pre-Seed, Seed, Series A, and Series B, in Chile and abroad, in equity rounds or through debt instruments, such as convertible mutual funds or SAFE contracts. In addition, he advises companies on the strategy and implementation of compensation plans or ESOPs and the structuring of financing through venture debt instruments.

He also advises companies on expanding and internationalizing their businesses, either through company flips abroad or through domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

In addition, José Ignacio advises clients in the Fintech area, advising companies on multiple regulatory aspects and structuring financial technology businesses in compliance with the applicable regulations.
