José Ignacio Marín concentrates his practice on the firm's Corporate and Venture Capital area, advising companies and investors in forming and operating private investment funds, including those backed by CORFO.
In the Venture Capital area, he advises companies in several financing rounds and stages of development of their businesses, including Pre-Seed, Seed, Series A, and Series B, in Chile and abroad, in equity rounds or through debt instruments, such as convertible mutual funds or SAFE contracts. In addition, he advises companies on the strategy and implementation of compensation plans or ESOPs and the structuring of financing through venture debt instruments.
He also advises companies in the expansion and internationalization of their businesses, either through company flips abroad or through domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. In addition, José Ignacio also concentrates his practice in the Fintech area, advising companies on the multiple regulatory aspects and structuring financial businesses based on technology in compliance with the applicable regulations.
