Charlie Wilson

CHARLIE WILSON is head of the firm’s M&A and Private Equity group in Asia and formerly served as co-managing partner of Sidley’s office in Singapore. He brings over 25 years of experience advising private equity sponsors, funds and corporates on complex investments, joint ventures and exits across Southeast Asia. Charlie has built a strong track record in digital infrastructure (including data centers, fiber networks, and telecommunications), real estate, insurance, mining and energy transactions. He has particularly deep experience in Indonesia, complemented by active engagement in other major Southeast Asian markets. He is recognized for his clear, commercially grounded advice and his ability to steer clients through sophisticated, time-sensitive matters. Clients value his strategic judgment, calm handling of high-pressure scenarios and strong leadership of deal teams throughout the transaction lifecycle.
