Serge Badibanga is Counsel Africa and Deputy General Manager of LDK DRC.
With more than 20 years of experience, Serge has developed a solid expertise, both as in-house lawyer and as external counsel. He has extensive experience in corporate law (including with setting up operations, restructuring and liquidation) and commercial and contract law (including negotiating and drafting R&D contracts, licences, general terms and conditions, subcontracting, etc.). He also assists clients in litigation, providing strategic advice, including in the context of collective proceedings.
For nearly 10 years, Serge worked as General Counsel and Secretary General in a major Congolese (DRC) financial institution. This experience has enabled him to develop a solid knowledge of banking law and of the financial services sector, as well as to establish good relations with local regulators.
Prior to this, Serge practiced law as an independent legal advisor, focusing on all aspects of corporate law, contract law and litigation.
Serge holds a Master's degree in Business Law (University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, 2003), a D.E.S. in Management (University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, 2002) and a Master's degree in International Relations (EHEI, 2000).
Serge joined Liedekerke DRC SASU in 2021.
