Christel Van den Eynden is a partner in the Corporate and Finance Practice Group. She advises international and national clients (both listed and non-listed companies) on (cross-border) mergers & acquisitions and private equity investments and has considerable experience with project financed transactions, PPP and complex industrial projects, particularly in the infrastructure, (renewable) energy and logistics sectors.
Christel advises clients in a wide range of sectors, including logistics and port operations, retail, the food industry, automotive, energy and green energy, (petro)chemicals, biotechnology and life sciences, financial and payment services, IT and high-tech, the hotel sector and entertainment. She has particular expertise in cross-border acquisitions and divestments, joint ventures and infrastructure projects. She also advises clients on corporate governance, directors' liability and general corporate law.
Christel holds a law degree from the University of Antwerp (UA 1987) (magna cum laude) and also obtained a Master of Arts in Advanced International Studies from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of the Johns Hopkins University (Bologna, Italy and Washington D.C.), for which she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship. She was also for several years a member of the selection committee of the Fulbright Exchange Commission between the United States and Belgium, which awards grants to Master's students in law.
Christel joined Liedekerke in 1999. For several years, Christel assumed the mandate as a member of the Board of Directors and is currently a member of Liedekerke's International Committee and Remuneration Committee. Christel also served on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of Lex Mundi, the international organization of which Liedekerke is a member for Belgium.
