Sally is a private equity specialist and advises on all aspects of merger and acquisition transactions (both public and private) for private equity funds, including structuring advice, the consortium and shareholders arrangements, the management participation arrangements, Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) structures, funding arrangements and reorganisations. She has acted in most of South Africa's highest profile private equity transactions over the past 20 years. Her expertise has been recognised by various international research organisations including Chambers Global, Legal 500, IFLR1000, Who’s Who Legal and Best Lawyers (where she was named "Lawyer of the Year" for Private Equity in 2010 and 2018). She was honoured with the "Woman Professional of the Year" award at the 2016 South African Professional Services Awards and received two awards at the 2018 South African Professional Services Awards, namely "Professional of the Year - Law Class" and the highly coveted "South African Professional of the Year - Overall Winner".
