Rory is a partner and head of the Construction Infrastructure and Utilities Department team at Mason Hayes & Curran. He also leads our Energy and Projects practice with William Carmody. Rory is amongst the first group of solicitors in Ireland to be appointed Senior Counsel in 2020 by the Government of Ireland. He has extensive experience in contentious and non-contentious Energy and Construction issues. He advises and represents utilities, funders, developers, contractors, insurers and professional consultants.
Rory regularly advises on major projects and has been engaged on the largest and most complex projects undertaken in Ireland in the energy, tech, infrastructure and real estate sectors. His energy practice extends to offshore wind, waste-to-energy, thermal, gas, grid infrastructure and trading. In contentious matters, Rory has successfully represented clients in ADR, arbitration and Court processes, frequently acting as advocate on behalf of clients.
