Roger André is an experienced personal injury practitioner, with particular specialism in defending against alleged insurance fraud, dishonesty, credit hire, rehabilitation fraud and workplace personal injury claims.

Roger is based in the North of England, but as a Member of Deka Chambers in London, he offers a truly nationwide service.

Roger has for many years been instructed exclusively on behalf of insurers and defence. Roger’s practice historically has been motor vehicle related. He is Head of the Civil Fraud & Credit Hire Team at Deka Chambers.

Roger has been at the forefront of raising before the judiciary the concept of claims layering and fundamental dishonesty; e.g. the widely reported and commented leading case of Khan v Aviva [2022] 11 WLUK 663. In recognition of his work, Roger reached the shortlist for Barrister of the Year at the prestigious Legal Business Awards 2023.

Roger also is instructed on behalf of the defence and insurers in non motor personal injury, such as in workplace personal injury claims.
