Career
Robert Nemec is a Partner at PRK Partners specialising in banking, mergers and
acquisitions, insolvency and restructuring, commercial litigation and arbitration.
In his practice, Robert fuses his broad experience in governing the bar association with
expertise in arbitration proceedings. He served as President of the Czech Bar Association
(ČAK) from 2021 to 2025 and currently continues his engagement at ČAK as Chairman of
the Disciplinary Board of Appeals (OKK) and Head of the ČAK delegation to the Council of
Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE). In addition to his legal practice, Robert is an
arbitrator at the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic and at the Vienna
International Arbitral Centre (VIAC). He is also a member of the International Bar
Association (IBA).
He obtained a Master's degree (Mgr.) in law from the Faculty of Law of Charles University
in Prague in 1995. Between 2005 and 2007 Robert completed an International Practice
Diploma Program at the College of Law of England and Wales and received an
International Practice Diploma in Corporate Law, M&A, Capital Markets and Loans. In
2009 he completed his postgraduate studies and obtained a Master of Laws degree
(LL.M.) in US and Global Business Law from Suffolk University Law School in Boston,
Massachusetts (US). Robert received a Doctorate degree (JUDr.) in law from the Faculty
of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2020.
