Businesses in financial distress turn to me when the stakes are high and the margin for error is razor-thin. I serve as lead restructuring counsel to companies navigating the pressure of lawsuits, lender defaults, collapsing cash flow, or unmanageable debt loads. Whether the path forward involves a Chapter 11 reorganization, a streamlined Subchapter V case, or an out-of-court workout, I help owners and managers regain control, stabilize operations, and chart a course toward renewed viability, or maximize value in an orderly wind-down.

While I routinely appear in bankruptcy courts across Tennessee and advise companies nationwide on loan workouts and restructuring strategies, I am particularly effective in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Tennessee in Nashville. My familiarity with local practice, personalities, and process allows me to navigate even the thorniest matters with precision and credibility. I know what works in this district and how to position a case for the best possible outcome, whether that means aggressive motion practice, quiet negotiations behind the scenes, or a carefully timed filing.

My firm represents financially distressed companies in all stages of the restructuring process, from pre-bankruptcy strategy and creditor negotiation to formal reorganization or liquidation under Chapter 11. We take on cases involving merchant cash advances, SBA and EIDL loan defaults, commercial lease and equipment finance disputes, supplier and vendor pressure, secured lender workouts, tax delinquencies, and hostile creditor litigation.

In the courtroom, I have successfully confirmed both contested and consensual Chapter 11 and Subchapter V plans, navigated DIP financing and asset sales under Section 363, defended plan settlements and releases, and delivered strong results in first-day hearings, adversary proceedings, and contested matters.

Outside of bankruptcy, I frequently guide clients through forbearance agreements, Article 9 sales, distressed asset purchases, and wind-down strategies that avoid the time and cost of court. When there’s a viable business to preserve, I push for solutions that protect equity and restructure obligations in a way that preserves jobs, protects stakeholders, and gives companies a future.

I also represent unsecured creditors’ committees and asset buyers in bankruptcy court and have a track record of resolving complex, high-pressure cases with efficiency, strategy, and discretion.
