Rob advises clients on cross-border transactions, including private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, growth capital investments and corporate reorganisations. He is a key advisor to prominent private equity and financial sponsor clients, recognised for his pragmatic approach and extensive cross-border expertise. Rob’s focus lies in transactions involving private equity, infrastructure and sovereign wealth funds, including the establishment and operation of investment platforms across asset classes such as energy and infrastructure.

Rob was based in the firm’s London financial sponsor practice for over 8 years before moving to Singapore to establish the firm’s financial sponsor practice in South East Asia. This level of experience means he is one of the few practitioners with a bird’s eye view of the global PE and infrastructure fund landscape, while having deep roots in the Southeast Asia market. With PE activity in Asia gaining momentum and fast becoming a strategic focus for heavyweight global investors, Rob’s financial sponsor and multi-jurisdictional experience has never been more sought after. His clients include Qatar Investment Authority, DigitalBridge, Actis, Macquarie Asset Management, Summa Equity, Verlinvest, Hg, TIAA, Affinity Equity Partners, Ares SSG, and Olympus Capital, amongst others.
