Peter has developed a leading reputation for his experience in a wide range of debt, equity and equity-linked capital markets transactions in the Japanese market. Primarily advising on outbound deals involving multiple currencies, he advises on convertible and exchangeable bonds, senior debt issuance, equity transactions, bank and insurance company capital products, covered bonds, corporate hybrid transactions, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), government-guaranteed and local authority bond issues and Medium Term Note (MTN) programmes, as well as on liability management products.

Working in collaboration with the firm’s U.S. law-qualified practitioners, Peter’s experience also covers the Regulation S markets and 144A transactions.

He has been the forefront of Japanese capital markets, advising on many new products and innovations in the market. Peter is also the firm’s Tokyo office Managing Partner.
