Richard D T Gaffney

Richard is a Principal Lawyer in the personal injury team at Slater and Gordon’s office in Cambridge. He specialises in claims involving catastrophic and serious injuries. Richard has significant experience in claims involving head injury, multiple orthopaedic, amputation and fatal accident claims. He spent 10 years in the armed forces before becoming a lawyer so has particular experience in dealing with military accident claims. Richard is also Slater and Gordon’s Principal Lawyer for Cycling UK, the UK’s national cycling charity.

Richard qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and joined Slater and Gordon in 2013.

Richard provides regular training sessions for interested groups including consultant surgeons and doctors, physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors, etc. Richard is also a member of APIL (the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) and a member of one of the few teams that are nationally accredited as specialist solicitors by both the Spinal Injuries Association and Headway, brain injury association. Additionally, Richard is an accredited member of the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel.
