Ricardo Montero is an intellectual property specialist at SILVA, with more than 20 years of experience advising on trademark and domain name matters. He is recognised for his strategic approach to the protection of intangible assets and his strong execution in complex scenarios.

He regularly represents leading domestic clients in both contentious and non-contentious trademark matters. His practice covers the full lifecycle of trademarks, including prosecution, oppositions, negotiations, litigation and the drafting of agreements, always with a practical, business-oriented approach.

Ricardo holds a law degree from Universidad Finis Terrae and a postgraduate diploma in Intellectual and Industrial Property from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

In the academic field, he has served as a lecturer in the Master in Business Law and the Master in Innovation at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, as well as in intellectual property courses at UNIACC.

He is a member of the Chilean Association of Intellectual Property (ACHIPI) and is recognised for combining strong technical expertise with a strategic mindset, particularly in the design and implementation of trademark protection strategies for key clients.
