Reinhard Dallmayr

Dr Reinhard Dallmayr is a lawyer in the Life & Regulatory department at the Munich office. He is a Specialist Insurance Lawyer and was a name partner at BLD from 1990 to 2013. Since then, as of counsel, he has advised clients from Germany and abroad across all lines of business on issues of insurance supervisory law, product development and advice, in the context of arbitration proceedings, in the area of reinsurance as well as in disputes in D&O and W&I insurance. Dr Reinhard Dallmayr is one of the most respected insurance lawyers in Germany, having published numerous specialist books and articles. Recent examples of his work include the establishment and licensing of domestic insurers, advising foreign insurers on entering the German market, developing new insurance products, representing an insurer in a complex post-merger (W&I) arbitration, acting as an arbitrator, drafting and formulating outsourcing agreements and assisting with asset and portfolio transfers.
