Bastian Finkel

Bastian Finkel is a Managing Partner at the Cologne office and jointly heads the Financial Lines department together with Björn Seitz. He is a Specialised Insurance Lawyer and advises on all topics in his area of expertise. He is also responsible for the firm’s international insurance practice together with Dr Martin Alexander. As one of Germany’s leading D&O experts, Bastian Finkel advises insurers on complex national and international claims and publishes articles on diverse topics, including D&O insurance. He recently coordinated and supported various large D&O cases (e.g. VW emissions scandal, Bilfinger compliance investigation), including those concerned with cum-ex transactions. Bastian Finkel is highly regarded by our clients and his negotiating partners for his business acumen, his eye for strategy and his ability to achieve feasible outcomes in complex negotiations.
