Björn Seitz

Björn Seitz is a Managing Partner at the Cologne office and jointly heads the Financial Lines department together with Bastian Finkel. He is a Specialised Insurance Lawyer and one of the leading lawyers in Germany in D&O insurance, on which he regularly publishes a commentary. In addition, he specialises in advising on coverage and liability law in the areas of professional indemnity, crime insurance, event loss and, in particular, cyber insurance. He enjoys an excellent reputation in the market in these areas as well. Recent examples of his work include the extensive handling of large D&O cases (e.g. VW emissions scandal, Wirecard), the representation of various insurers in connection with event cancellations due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and legal advice on a cyber damage case involving the loss of large amounts of personal data.
