Career

Martin Alexander is one of the managing Partners at BLD, is head of the products liability group at BLD and heads the international liability group of the firm. Martin provides coverage advice for insurers and frequently acts as defense counsel with a focus on international catastrophic events and crisis situations; especially multijurisdictional product liability and product recall cases. Recent examples of Martin’s work were defending Germanwings against all national and international claims due to the plane crash in the French Alps, defending various pharmaceutical manufacturers in trials in the valsartan contamination lawsuits and handling insurer accounts of major Tier-1-Suppliers in the automotive industry. He also has become a renowned expert, being involved in many international ADRs in the automotive, aviation and engineering industry and he has acted as a party representative and legal expert in several ICC cases.
