Dr Martin Alexander, LLM, is a lawyer and managing partner based in the Cologne office. He leads the firm’s Composite Insurance and the Industrial Liability department. He is also responsible for the firm’s international insurance practice together with Bastian Finkel. Dr Martin Alexander is one of the leading product liability experts in Germany and is a recognised specialist in the field of aviation insurance as well as in cases of catastrophes of all kinds that involve a large number of personal injuries. He advises insurers, industrial companies and airlines in complex national and international claims, including at international arbitration tribunals. For example, Dr Martin Alexander is advising the pharmaceutical manufacturer Valsartan on an international product recall due to alleged drug contamination and is defending the company against a large number of claimants. He also represented Lufthansa following the crash of a Germanwings plane in the French Alps.
