Career

Raul advises clients on property rights and land remediation, especially in rural real estate projects, including big infrastructure projects in different sectors and is considered without doubt a leading individual in his field. He frequently represents clients in the acquisition and remediation of properties for mining projects and/or extractive sectors. Raul leads high profile projects involving large extensions of properties, complex peasant communities' negotiations, state owned lands and dealing with several public entities (local and regional).

He has also counselled the Peruvian Government on legal reforms destined to improve the regulatory frame for the development of inversion projects and rural land registration.

Formerly, Raul was Community Relations Manager of Minera Gold Fields La Cima, Project Manager of the Institute for Liberty and Democracy for its projects in Mexico and Dominican Republic, and Manager for Certification, Declaration and Property Regularisation for the Commission for the Registration of Informal Property (COFOPRI).
