Experience

Zhou is one of the founding partners of East & Concord Partners. Zhou graduated from the Economic Law Department of China University of Political Science and Law in 1986. In the same year, he began working at the Beijing Foreign Economic Law Firm and was licensed to practice in law in 1987. In 1995, as one of the founding partners, he presided over the establishment of Concord & Partners.

Zhou is particularly skilled in dispute resolution legal affairs. During his practising in law, on the one hand, Zhou has represented clients in terms of a large number of major and difficult commercial litigation and arbitration cases; on the other hand, as a senior arbitrator of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Zhou has handled hundreds of various arbitration cases and has a good reputation in the industry. From 2015 to 2018, Zhou was consecutively rated as a Leading Lawyer in Dispute Resolution by Asialaw Profiles; from 2016 to 2023, Zhou was named the Band 1 Lawyer in Dispute Resolution by LEGALBAND, and was rated as one of the Top 15 Litigators in China by ALB in 2016; in 2017, Zhou was nominated as the Star of Dispute Resolution by Asialaw Profiles; in 2019, Zhou was rated as one of the 100 Outstanding Lawyers in China (the A-list 2019) by China Business Law Journal. From 2021 to 2022, Zhou was named the Lawyer of the Year in the field of civil law in China by Finance Monthly - Legal Awards. From 2021 to 2023, Zhou was selected on the Dispute Resolution (Arbitration) Powerlist by the Legal 500. From 2024 to 2025, Zhou was selected for the Chambers Greater China Region Guide. In 2024, Zhou was selected for the Chambers Global Guide, and was awarded the title of “Eminent Practitioners” in “Dispute Resolution: Litigation”.
