I am a partner in our Banking & Finance Group, with a particular focus on the energy & utilities sector.

I am currently based in the Rome, but maintain a presence in the Milan office. With a finance, corporate and project background, I am well positioned to advise on all aspects of energy market trends. I am a very practical lawyer, open-minded and flexible to assist clients in any type of smart and complex structure, whilst always staying positive to find solutions on any non-straightforward deal.

Most of my experience is in project finance transactions, advising major national and international players with energy related financing and refinancing deals, and I have participated in negotiations and drafting phases, with both clients and counterparties, in relation to energy and infrastructure projects on an international basis. My main strengths are managing client expectations by always being on time in terms of delivery and quality of work.

I also have significant experience in drafting, negotiating and managing national and international EPC, DBO and O&M contracts together with PPAs and other project contracts. In addition, I have considerable experience in national and international contract law, corporate law and M&A. On commercial aspects, I try to think ahead of my competitors and be innovative in discussing new contractual structures and solutions within the market.

Another important area of my expertise is PPAs, where the firm has a reputation at EU level on the market. I have been working on market first transactions in the Italian energy sector, dealing with main sponsors, off-takers and financial institutions searching for the ideal structure to make any project bankable.

I have also acted as an advisor for investment banks, on major national and international acquisitions and restructuring transactions relating to international group companies carrying out business in the infrastructure and energy field. I am used to coordinating international teams on a cross-border basis and among different sectors and departments.

I currently teach finance law and project finance on Masters courses at a few of the most prestigious Business Schools/Universities in Italy.
