Pia Ek is a partner and co-head in our Commercial Group, based in our Helsinki office. She has over 20 years' experience in cross-border digital transformation projects, outsourcing, cloud services, ICT- and IP-driven transactions as well as in IoT, licensing and e-commerce assignments.
Pia is a digitalisation allrounder having worked with clients in a vast number of industry sectors ranging from finance to aviation. Her specialty lies in large scale transformation projects.
Pia regularly assists clients in mergers and acquisitions, especially in transactions where there are specific technological needs or in which the carve-out of business processes or technologies play an important role. In addition to her technology practice, Pia's field of expertise includes sports and media law.
Her clients have always valued her solution-focused and pragmatic approach and her ability to understand the business drivers in each case.
Pia is a frequent lecturer on topics related to TMT, sports law and commercial contracts, both commercially and academically. She also is the chairperson for the Finnish Center for Integrity in Sports (FINCIS) as well as a long-standing member of the Finnish Sports Arbitration Board.
