Career

Paul is a Partner in our pensions practice, advising both employers and trustees on all aspects of pensions law.

His work covers scheme establishment, merger, benefit changes, winding-up and regulatory compliance, as well as the drafting of scheme documentation and member communications, with a particular focus on the Tech, Media and Comms sector. He has been advising on pensions-related matters for nearly twenty years.

He also advises life offices in relation to with-profits fund matters, including in relation to guaranteed annuity rates. He advises on the pensions aspects of acquisitions and disposals, and handles contentious and non-contentious work, including cases before the Pensions Ombudsman and High Court claims. Paul has been at Osborne Clarke since he qualified in 1993, and has been a Partner since 1999.

He is a director of our independent trustee company Open Trustees, a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers and a member of the National Association of Pension Funds’ South Western regional committee.
