Patrick Saccogna

Patrick practices in the firm’s Personal & Succession Planning practice in Cleveland. He counsels high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses on personal, charitable, business, tax, and succession planning matters, including advising on leading-edge tools, structures, strategies, and financial transactions in connection with multigenerational wealth transfer planning, asset protection planning, and income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, compliance, and audit defense. He also represents beneficiaries and individual and corporate executors and trustees in estate and trust administration, tax compliance, tax audit defense, and fiduciary litigation matters.

Patrick is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in Ohio. He is a past chair of the University Hospitals Diamond Advisory Group and a former chair of the Case Western Reserve University Estate Planning Advisory Council. He is also a past president of The Estate Planning Council of Cleveland, former chair of the Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Law Section of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and past secretary and legislative update lecturer of the Northern Ohio Charitable Gift Planners. Patrick has been selected to the Ohio Super Lawyers list for Estate Planning and Probate and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America ® since 2014 for Trusts & Estates, Closely Held Companies, and Litigation – Trust and Estates.
