Pat Mitchell co-founded Cooley's Boston office in 2007, is a member of the firm’s Board of Directors and is currently resident in our Boston and New York offices. Pat practices in the areas of growth equity, private equity, venture capital, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate law. He regularly counsels growth stage companies in various industries, including software, digital media, consumer and e-commerce. He represents several leading growth equity, private equity and venture capital firms in connection with leveraged acquisitions, portfolio investments and matters relating to their portfolio companies. Pat has held multiple other leadership roles with the firm, including serving on the Partner Nominating Committee, former Co-Chair of the Emerging Companies Group and former Hiring Partner in our Boston office.

Pat has been recognized in Chambers USA as a leader in the practice of private equity/venture capital, startups & emerging companies every year since 2007.
