Olivier Diaz is a partner in the Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions team in Paris. He has more than 30 years' experience in complex mergers and acquisitions, as well as on securities law and corporate governance matters.

His practice covers a wide range of transactions, including public and private company acquisitions and business combinations, as well as private equity.

Over the course of his career, he has advised clients on some of the largest and most complex M&A transactions in France, in a wide variety of sectors, including luxury, media, and telecoms. He also advises companies on complex corporate governance issues and is regularly consulted by regulators on securities law and corporate law issues.

Before returning to Gide, where Olivier was a partner between 1990 and 1998, he was a partner in other first-tier French and international law firms. A graduate of Sciences-Po and HEC Paris, Olivier also holds a postgraduate diploma (DESS) in International Taxation from the University of Paris XI. He was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1990.
