Career
Henri Savoie heads the public law, regulatory and banking and financial regulatory practice of the firm.
Before practicing as a lawyer, he was a member of the “Conseil d’Etat”, the Supreme Court of the French administrative order, for over seventeen years. During this time, he was an adviser to the French Prime Minister (1995 -1997) and a legal adviser to the President of the Republic of Senegal (2001-2005).
As head of the public law and regulatory practice, Henri advises French and foreign private companies, public companies and public institutions on complex regulatory issues, particularly in the following sectors: telecoms, media, banking, energy, utilities and transportation. He has significant experience in litigation before the administrative jurisdictions, the European jurisdictions, and the various sector regulators. Henri also participates, in collaboration with the firm’s corporate team, in all transactions concerning the evolution of the public sector: restructurations, privatizations and nationalizations. In addition, Henri is involved in major public procurement contracts negotiation and execution phases.
He is also in charge of the firm's foreign investments control procedures practice.
Lastly, as head of the firm’s banking and financial regulation practice, Henri has significant experience advising on large multi-jurisdictional projects in the banking sector and a high level of technical expertise regarding the completion of banking, finance and insurance regulatory formalities.
