Since finishing law school in Paris, Alain Maillot has been active in advising clients in international transactions with the exception of a one-year study at the University of Chicago Law School.

As a merger and acquisitions lawyer, he has been involved in representing buyers or sellers of companies, and creating joint ventures between European and non-European entities. He has also represented investors acquiring companies in connection with privatizations.

He regularly represents both industrial buyers and private equity investors.

He has recently engaged in teaching cross border mergers in Paris primarily but has also been an adjunct professor in New York and in Singapore.
