Nick has a mixed practice which covers several different areas of law. Through his personal injury work, Nick has experience of high value cases involving catastrophic injury, fatal claims, road traffic accidents and industrial disease, in particular involving asbestos. He acts for pursuers and defenders. Nick has had success with mediation in his practice.
Between 2007 and 2009, Nick acted as Crown Counsel in Al Megrahi v HMA (the second Lockerbie appeal). From 2009 until 2012, Nick acted as Junior Counsel to the Penrose Inquiry a Public Inquiry about infected blood. He is currently a part-time legal member of the Pension Appeals Tribunal which hears appeals from ex-servicemen and women.
