Natasha Tahta

Natasha Tahta specialises in regulatory law, following 15 years of a successful criminal practice. She has extensive experience before regulators, tribunals and the High Court, with particular focus on healthcare and the legal professions. Her intellect, meticulous preparation and measured advocacy make her a strong choice in this field.

For over a decade Natasha has specialised in regulatory work, acting regularly for the GMC since 2011 and now instructed by a wide range of regulators and defence bodies. She is trusted in sensitive, high-profile matters requiring careful strategy.

Healthcare

Natasha has represented the GDC, SRA and NHS England in complex cases and appeals, and frequently defends for the Association of Optometrists. She is adept at sensitive cases, recently securing a finding of no impairment for a client.

Legal Profession Regulation

Natasha is regularly instructed by the SRA in major investigations and appears for them in High Court appeals.

Previous Practice

Natasha was on the Attorney-General’s List of Specialist Regulatory Advocates and a CPS Level 3 and Rape Panel advocate. Her earlier criminal practice covered money laundering, drug trafficking, murder, rape, armed robbery, child cruelty and fraud. She has acted for HMRC, DTI and as independent counsel on privilege issues.
