Mónica Carneiro Pacheco is a partner and the head of the Energy and Natural Resources practice at CMS Portugal. She is experienced in assisting the main national and international players in the energy sector on public law, with a special focus on energy law, PPP projects, public procurement, concessions and environment.
Her main areas of focus are renewable energy projects (wind, solar photovoltaic and hydro), electricity, natural gas, cogeneration, innovation projects, privatizations, and mergers and acquisitions, in which she has been involved in the installation, production, transmission, distribution, supply and grid connection in regulatory issues, licensing, contractual issues, litigation and dispute resolution.
She is also well versed on environmental issues, advising notably on environmental licensing, monitoring minimization measures and environmental impact compensation.
Mónica has been widely recognised as a leading energy and natural resources lawyer.
