Michel Sancovski

Michel Sancovski is a co-head of Mayer Brown’s Global Investigations & White Collar Defense practice.

Michel Sancovski serves clients on corporate compliance, internal investigations, and government enforcement. His expertise spans a range of critical areas, including navigating both local and international legal frameworks, managing complex investigations, and advising on the development and implementation of compliance programs. Notably, his work also includes conducting anti-corruption due diligence in third-party relationships and handling issues related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and IPOs.

Michel's experience extends to government enforcement, where he is well-versed in defending clients in administrative and judicial cases related to anti-corruption laws. His skills in negotiating settlements and cooperating with regulators and authorities in Brazil and the US further bolster his standing. He also brings significant experience to cross-border matters in Latin American countries, particularly Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina.

In addition to his legal work, Sancovski is a guest professor at the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC) and serves as vice-president of IBRADEMP.
