Michael has a highly regarded practice encompassing an impressive breadth of commercial and administrative law, focusing on novel disputes in competition, corporations, tax litigation, equity and trusts, insolvency, construction and infrastructure, class actions, professional negligence, estates and real property. Prior to coming to the Bar, he was a litigation solicitor for seven years in a dispute resolution team at a major State firm.

Advising and appearing for companies, insolvency practitioners, insurers and individuals in all State and Federal courts and in specialist tribunals, clients note Michael’s ability to offer insights from a different perspective, approachable working style and commerciality.

Recent work examples include the Murphy Operator v Gladstone Ports Corporation class action which involved novel issues for Queensland law on litigation funding and resolving complex winding up issues in the Octaviar Group liquidations.
