Michael J Frevola

Partner in the firm's Maritime Practice Group, he has extensive courtroom and arbitration experience, including disputes regarding charter parties, vessel sales/construction, collisions, cargo, maritime logistics, and bunker claims.  He also specializes in arresting or attaching vessels or other assets nationwide to secure or enforce clients' claims.  He has represented creditors in maritime bankruptcies and advised on Liberian law for crew, labor, limitation and maritime lien issues, and has served repeatedly as an expert witness on U.S. and Liberian maritime lien law.  Special Professor of Admiralty Law, Hofstra University School of Law.  Former U.S. Navy officer: 1988 to 1999.
