Mercedes specialises in arbitration and litigation matters.

She has over 15 years’ experience advising clients across a range of sectors including construction, engineering, energy, financial, telecom and sports.

Mercedes has taken part in complex judicial and arbitral proceedings, both nationally and internationally, advising on all types of contractual disputes.

Mercedes also advises on insolvency proceedings and enforcement proceedings of foreign judgments and awards, as well as other issues relating to private international law. In addition, she sits as an arbitrator.

Relevant experience includes:

Acting for one of the largest Spanish construction companies in an ICC arbitration proceeding with seat in Houston and related to dispute around an ethanol plant. The amount involved was over 400MUSD.

Acting for one the most relevant football teams in Spain related to a complex shareholders litigation dispute, involving over 100MEUR.

Acting for one of the English largest online gaming companies in a complex unfair competition claim before the Spanish Courts.
