Mercedes Pando is a senior associate at Beccar Varela. Her practice areas include corporate, M&A, antitrust and unfair competition, consumer defense, and commercial loyalty. She has in-depth experience assisting local and foreign clients in corporate matters. She provides frequent advice to clients developing businesses in Argentina and takes part actively in M&A proceedings. In addition, she daily advises clients in merger control and investigation proceedings before the Argentine Competition Commission.

She is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association and the International Bar Association. She is also a member of the supervisory board of Microjusticia Argentina Foundation.

Personal

Mercedes obtained her law degree from Universidad de Buenos Aires (2006). She also has postgraduate degrees in Business and Economics from Universidad Católica Argentina (2008) and antitrust and unfair competition from Universidad de Buenos Aires (2012) and Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (2011).

She has also broad experience in Spanish and European Law. She obtained her Legal Sciences LLM from the University Pompeu Fabra (Spain, 2010), and the recognition of her Law Degree by the Spanish Government in 2014. She also worked as a foreign associate at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo Abogados SLP (Spain, 2015).
