Matthew supports clients on a broad range of transactional, commercial and regulatory matters. He is an independently recognised leader in the insurance market and advises clients on acquisitions, disposals, business transfers (including Part VII transfers), reinsurance transactions, product distribution arrangements, commercial contracts, restructuring projects, corporate governance and regulatory matters.

Advising Markel on a £200m UK motor insurance loss portfolio reinsurance transaction with Marco Capital.

Supporting a major insurance group on a large-scale policy review project covering multiple different insurance products. This included taking a consumer duty perspective and producing associated documentation.

Advising a global broking group on the transfer of a substantial book of insurance business to a major UK-headquartered insurer.
