Our services

Commercial contracts: The broad range of industry agreements across general commercial contracts, from the largest outsourcing deals to smaller, yet business-critical, supply contracts and consumer-facing terms and conditions. The team also handles niche areas such as distribution, logistics, IT projects, insurance, intellectual property, data protection, digital, sponsorships, influencer agreements, consumer regulation and advertising and marketing.

Commercial disputes: The full scope of dispute resolution, whether in the High Court in London, the appeal courts, arbitration or tribunals. Experienced at negotiation and mediation.

Competition: EU and UK competition law services, including merger control, antitrust and competition litigation for both claimants and defendants.

Corporate/M&A: Full range of transactional and advisory work, including M&A, private equity investments, refinancing, restructurings, joint ventures, IPOs on the London Stock Exchange and AIM or secondary offerings.

Corporate and business crime: Advises corporates, directors and senior managers in domestic and international criminal and regulatory investigations and prosecutions.

Corporate insurance: Specialist commercial and corporate advisory and transactional work for all insurance market participants.

Employment, engagement and equality:All stages of the employment relationship: daily HR assistance, strategic input on hiring, grievances, disciplinary actions, discrimination claims, dismissals, departures, redundancies, HR tribunals and compliance matters. They also advise on workplace policies, procedures, and training programmes. TUPE advice for mergers, acquisitions, and outsourcing. High Court litigation is covered, particularly cases involving restrictive covenants and team moves. Handling investigations into allegations of misconduct - whether internal, regulatory, or criminal. Strong expertise in inclusion and diversity.

ESG: Offering support across the full ESG spectrum, from strategy and governance to regulatory compliance, culture change initiatives, dispute resolution, ESG investigations, and transactional support. We work closely with clients to cocreate bespoke solutions that drive sustainable growth, mitigate risks, and enhance long-term value for business, people and planet.

Finance – contentious and non-contentious: Specialising in complex, high value, high-profile disputes and supporting clients through litigation, mediation or arbitration, whether they are an institutional investor, a borrower, a fund, bondholder or other market counterparty. We have experience of a diverse range of banking and financial markets disputes, often against major investment banks. Non-contentious advice includes corporate lending and security, acquisition finance, property/development finance, asset and receivables financing.

IP, technology and outsourcing: Transactional and dispute resolution, including franchising, trade marks, patents, confidential information, design rights and copyright, e-commerce, data protection and competition. Outsourcing ranges from simple service contracts to complex offshore arrangements.

Insurance and reinsurance: Specialist teams focusing on claims involving UK property, international property, power and energy, political risk, trade credit and terrorism, subrogated recoveries, reinsurance, technology and cyber, product liability, EL/PL, medical negligence, environmental, health and safety, accountants, lawyers, brokers, directors and officers, financial institutions,

and construction and engineering. Advises on policy wordings and provides loss adjusting services.

International trade and arbitration: Complex multi-jurisdictional litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution. Clients include commodities suppliers, charterers, insurers and energy companies.

Media: Defamation, privacy, contempt, copyright, data protection, reporting restrictions and freedom of information, predominantly for media defendants. Provides pre-publication advice and advice on jurisdictional challenges in media claims.

Real estate: Advises on property investment, development and finance, regeneration projects, and landlord and tenant matters for property holding companies and institutional investors, developers or corporate occupiers, including acquisitions, disposals, leases and portfolio management.

Regulatory: Advises on contentious and non-contentious regulatory issues in the financial services sector, with particular expertise in the insurance and wealth management sectors.

Restructuring and insolvency: Solvent schemes, business transfers, restructuring debt facilities, alternative risk transfers and run-off. Particular expertise in insurance insolvency.

Tax – contentious and non-contentious: Direct and indirect; pre-emptive advice on tax risk issues; enquiries; criminal investigations and litigation including customs duty, EU law and judicial review. Non-contentious advice includes corporate taxation, property tax, employment and benefits, VAT and stamp duty. Our specialist lawyers are also experts in judicial review.
